Welcome to Silent Echoes. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and us when you use silentechoes.shop or buy our products.
Our products and The Long Watch membership are sold by [Asoom Storefront LLC], trading as Silent Echoes. In these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to that company.
By using our site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Questions? Email info@silentechoes.shop.
1. Who can use this site
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to purchase from us or join our membership. By ordering, you confirm that you are.
2. What Silent Echoes is — and isn't
Silent Echoes is a guide and a companion for parents of estranged, addicted, or wayward adult children, available as a digital guide and a print edition. We also offer a membership, The Long Watch, described in section 6.
It is not professional advice. Nothing we offer is medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, or financial advice, and none of it substitutes for care from a qualified professional. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. Reading it or joining the membership does not create a therapist–client, pastoral, or other professional relationship.
If you are in crisis, or thinking about harming yourself, please contact a doctor or a crisis line in your area right away. In the U.S., the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline can be reached by call or text at 988, any hour. Please don't wait on a book.
We make no guarantees about outcomes. Silent Echoes cannot promise reconciliation with your child, cannot cure grief, and cannot guarantee any particular result. What it offers is understanding, perspective, and support. The same is true of the membership.
3. Orders, pricing, and payment
- Prices are in USD and may change at any time before you order.
- Placing an order is an offer to buy; we may accept or decline it.
- We keep listings accurate but don't warrant they're always error-free. If we find a pricing error on something you ordered, we'll tell you and let you continue at the correct price or cancel.
- Payment is processed securely at checkout. Book and membership charges appear on your statement as Silent Echoes.
4. Digital products
The digital guide is delivered electronically, usually within minutes, to the email you provide. Please make sure it's correct. Delivery is complete once access is provided.
Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read the guide for your own use. See "Intellectual property" below.
5. Print products & shipping
Print editions are printed to order and shipped per our Shipping & Delivery Policy, in plain, discreet packaging. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
6. The Long Watch membership
The Long Watch is a digital membership. Everything arrives by email — a weekly prayer map, a monthly recorded intercession, a monthly reflection for keeping your own record, and seasonal watches for the harder days of the year. There is no app, no login, and no password. Nothing is shipped.
6.1 Free trial and pricing
New memberships begin with a 30-day free trial. Nothing is charged on the day you join. After 30 days, the membership renews at $19.00 USD per month and continues on the same date each month until you cancel.
A payment method is collected when you join so the membership can continue if you want it to. Nothing is taken from it during the trial.
6.2 Trials included with book orders
When you order the book, a 30-day trial of The Long Watch is added to your order alongside your free Night One Prayer Guide. The price and renewal terms are shown on the product page, in your cart, and at checkout before you pay, and the item can be removed from your cart before you complete your order.
6.3 Notice before charges
Before the first charge you will receive an order confirmation stating when it falls, an email about a week before, and an email a few days before. You'll also receive a receipt for each charge. Full detail is in our Purchase Options Cancellation Policy.
6.4 Cancelling
You may cancel at any time, including during the free trial. Cancel during the trial and you are never charged.
The fastest way is silentechoes.shop/a/loop_subscriptions/get-subscription-link — enter your email, a link is sent to you, and you cancel it yourself. No password, no phone call, no explanation required. That link is in every membership email.
You can also email info@silentechoes.shop or reply to any of our emails. We'll cancel and confirm by reply, usually within one business day and always within two. If a renewal date falls in between, we'll refund that charge.
After cancelling, your membership runs to the end of the period you've paid for and stops. Beyond the 30-day guarantee we don't refund partial months. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.
6.5 Members on earlier terms
Members who joined before [DATE] at $14 per month keep that rate for as long as their membership continues without interruption.
Members who purchased the Lifetime Watch at $197 keep access for as long as The Long Watch is published, with no renewal and no further charge. It's tied to you personally and can't be transferred. We intend to keep publishing for many years, but we'd rather be honest than vague: no small publisher can guarantee a service exists forever. If The Long Watch is ever discontinued, you keep everything already sent to you. If we discontinue it within 12 months of a lifetime purchase, we'll refund on a pro-rated basis. We'll give members reasonable notice before any such change.
The Lifetime Watch is no longer offered to new members.
6.6 Failed payments
If a monthly payment doesn't go through, our payment provider will retry over the following days and we'll email you so you can update your card. If it isn't resolved, the membership pauses and content stops until it is. Nothing is lost — you can pick the watch back up whenever you're ready.
6.7 Privacy within the watch
What members share with us stays with us. We do not publish members' names, stories, children's names, or any detail of what you're carrying — not in emails, not on our website, not in advertising — without asking first and receiving a clear yes.
There is no forum and no group you're required to post in. You are never obliged to share anything to remain a member.
6.8 Changes to the membership
The Long Watch will develop over time, and we may add, adjust, or retire parts of it. If we make a change that materially reduces what your membership includes, we'll tell members before it happens. If we change the price, existing members keep the rate they joined at.
6.9 Ending a membership from our side
We may end a membership if it's used in a way that breaks these Terms, harms other members, or involves abusive conduct toward our team. If we do, we'll refund any unused portion of the current period.
7. Refunds
Our 30-Day "Faith-Back" Guarantee and full refund terms are in our Refund & Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms and applies to the membership as well as to books.
8. Intellectual property
All content in Silent Echoes, in The Long Watch, and on this website — text, the guide, prayer maps, recordings, the name "Silent Echoes," branding, cover art, images, and design — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other laws.
When you buy the guide or join the membership, you may use the materials for your own personal use. You may not copy, reproduce, resell, distribute, share files of, publicly post, or create derivative works from them without our written permission. Sharing a page with one other praying mother who needs it is not what this clause is aimed at; wholesale copying and redistribution is.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our site to break the law, infringe others' rights, transmit harmful code, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or harvest data, or interfere with the site's operation. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who does.
10. User communications
If you email us, leave a review, or send us content, you're responsible for it and confirm you have the right to share it. We will only display your review or feedback in connection with our products with your consent. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, or misleading.
11. Third-party links & services
Our site relies on third-party services (payment, subscription management, shipping, email, analytics, advertising). We're not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites; their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them.
12. Disclaimers
Our site, products, and membership are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our owners and team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on the content of Silent Echoes or The Long Watch. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including certain consumer-protection rights in your country.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the site, products, or membership, or your breach of these Terms.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its date, is always posted here. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Wyoming, except where your local consumer law gives you other rights.
